I'm in a new play based on the life of Tchaikovsky that opens this week. Our performances are Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night at 8pm, with a matinee on Sunday afternoon at 2pm, all at the American Theater of Actors (ATA) 314 W 54th Street.
Tchaikovsky follows the life of the famous Russian composer from childhood to his controversial death. The show includes live music, dancers, and acted scenes.
I play Aleksey Apukhtin, a russian poet, and Tchaikovsky's life long friend.
I'll post more information for tickets, however I wanted to share some of the behind the scenes photos of the rehearsal process.
We've been working very hard all month to pull this large show together and I hope that people will come out during the holiday weekend.
Most of the rehearsals have been at 13th Street Rep Theater.
The show will be at a large off-Broadway theater in Hell's Kitchen, The Chernuchin in the American Theater of Actors.
